Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our projects are fully bespoke, so investment varies based on scope, square footage, and material selections. A single-room redesign typically begins at $25,000, while whole-home commissions range from $150,000 to $1M+. We provide a detailed fee proposal after your complimentary discovery call — there are never hidden charges.
We view every project as a long-term investment in how you live. Our clients consistently report that their redesigned spaces appreciate significantly in property value — and more importantly, in daily quality of life.
-
We use a hybrid model: a flat design fee covering our creative and project management services, plus a procurement fee on all furnishings and materials we source (typically 25–30%). This is disclosed fully in our proposal.
Our fee structure is designed to align our incentives with yours. We're not motivated to specify expensive materials to increase our margin — we're motivated to create the most beautiful, lasting result within your desired level of investment.
-
Our process has five clear phases: Discovery (goals, lifestyle, budget), Concept Development (mood boards, spatial planning), Design Development (specifications, material selection), Procurement & Project Management, and White-Glove Installation. Most projects span 6–18 months depending on complexity.
You'll always know exactly where your project stands. We provide regular updates and a single, expert point of contact throughout.
-
Your vision is our north star. During our discovery phase, we spend considerable time understanding not just your aesthetic preferences but how you actually live — your daily rituals, entertaining style, and what 'home' means to you. Every design decision is filtered through that lens first.
We never arrive with a signature style we apply to every client. Our portfolio looks diverse because each space is a deliberate reflection of the person who lives in it.
-
Yes. We maintain long-standing relationships many past clients, esteemed and award winning archittects, and with licensed, bonded contractors — and we're happy to share references from similar projects upon request.
We believe transparency is the foundation of every great client relationship. A thorough vetting process protects both parties, and we welcome your due diligence.

We have an unsurpassed dedication to customized service and we devote full attention to each client. A small operation allows us procedural flexibility, and we take on only a few projects at a time.
Evermore was built to stay small, so each project would be bespoke to each client. We bring structure where it adds value and flexibility where it matters most — tailoring our approach to each client's needs rather than defaulting to the rigid procedures of larger firms.
Vivian leads each project with the expertise of a 20 year career, and your project is handled with care from start to finish.
Clients benefit from senior level expertise from start to finish, at standard competitive rates.
Evermore is built on rigorous lifelong study, world travel and a cosmopolitan aesthetic, accredited credentials, and relationships that endure.

Item desMost whole-home projects run between twelve and eighteen months from first conversation to final installation, though the range is wide and depends on scope, permitting, and how quickly decisions are made.
Design and documentation typically take three to five months before construction begins. That front-loaded work is deliberate: every selection is specified and scheduled before a contractor breaks ground, which is what prevents the mid-build delays and change orders that stretch timelines and budgets.
We would rather spend an extra month getting the drawings right than discover a problem on site.cription

You hire them directly, and we work alongside them throughout.
Vivian has spent two decades on Main Line renovations and new builds, which means she speaks the same language as your architect and your contractor, and understands how these homes are actually put together. She coordinates with both from the earliest stages, sits in on site meetings, and resolves the details that fall between disciplines before they become your problem.
If you have not yet appointed an architect or builder, we are glad to recommend people we have worked with and trust.

Our studio is in Villanova, and most of our work is on the Main Line: Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Radnor, Gladwyne, Rosemont, Ardmore and Wayne, along with Philadelphia and the surrounding Montgomery and Delaware County suburbs.
We also design second homes elsewhere, including the New Jersey shore.
-
Yes. We take on a small number of second-home projects each year for clients who are based locally but building or renovating elsewhere.
These projects are run remotely, with site visits at the milestones that matter. The work translates well: a second home is usually about how a place should feel rather than how it has to function day to day, and that is a brief we enjoy.
-
As early as possible, ideally alongside your architect rather than after.
Interior design decisions shape architectural ones. Where the light falls, how a room is used, where a kitchen island sits and what it means for plumbing and structure — these are far easier and cheaper to resolve on paper than once the walls are framed. Clients who bring us in at the start consistently spend less and get a better result.
If you are already further along, that is not a problem. But if you are still at the beginning, this is the moment.
We would love to hear about your home.
Every project begins the same way — with a warm, unhurried conversation. No pressure, no commitment. Just a chance to find out if we are the right fit for each other.
