CUSTOM INTERIORS & ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN — MAIN LINE & NATIONWIDE

A renovation you cannot afford to get wrong. Or run yourself.

The Groundwork is where it begins. A focused first step that turns a daunting project into a clear, protected plan, before you commit to the build.

You have built a career, a family, a life that reflects your judgment at every level.

The renovation is the one thing that feels out of your control.

Not because you lack vision. Because running a complex, costly project is a second job, and trusting it to the wrong designer puts both your money and your peace at risk.

You should not have to choose between protecting the budget and protecting the vision.

WHAT THE GROUNDWORK IS

The clear-eyed start to a project that matters.

It is a standalone, paid engagement. Together we uncover how you actually live or work, your priorities, and your point of view.

WHAT YOU LEAVE WITH

  • Clarity about what is possible.

  • A realistic scope, sized to your life and your investment.

  • An honest budget range you can trust, set before the spending begins.

  • The confidence to decide whether to proceed, pause, or proceed with someone else.

Either way, you are no longer guessing.

Your most beautiful chapter begins with one conversation.

The fee, and why it protects you

The Groundwork is priced for the real value of the plan you receive. Whether we work together moving forward, the understanding you will gain about your project from our conversation will help to guide you wisely and protect both your time and investment.

If you continue into the Signature Engagement within ninety days, the full fee is credited toward it.

Why me

I take on only six projects a year. Never more. So that every client gets a single accountable mind, from the first conversation to the final installation.

I earned my Master of Science in Interior Architecture from Drexel University, and taught there as an adjunct professor. My work on historic homes earned the Trumbauer Award and the Preservation Alliance Achievement Award, given not for what is fashionable, but for what endures.

I have produced full construction documentation, coordinated consultants and fabricators, and managed procurement on budgets up to four million dollars. I once designed a ten thousand square foot beachfront home on a two million dollar budget that gained one and a half million in equity.

My fees are honest. My allegiance is to you, never to my portfolio.

I work with clients across the Main Line, in Bryn Mawr, Villanova, Gladwyne, Haverford, and Wayne, and into greater Philadelphia.

How it begins

It starts with a first conversation. Twenty minutes, no pitch. This will be a low-pressure conversation to learn about your needs, constraints, and desires for your project. You leave with one genuinely useful insight, whether or not we ever work together.

If there is a fit, the natural next step is The Groundwork, where that single insight becomes a full plan.
